Fran’s Freebies: Object Dominoes

This colorful activity set consists of 30 simple domino cards, each with a picture of an everyday object that young children will recognize.  Make 2 copies of all but the “doubles” cards for a deck of 50 — and play like traditional dominoes, two or three players taking turns adding cards to the table.

For easier play, hand one domino at a time to the player whose turn is next — only giving cards that can fit somewhere right away.

Extend the activity by discussing the objects while you play.  Ask questions such as: When would you use this?  Where might you find this?  What colors do you see?  Which objects are round like a circle?
