Have you visited the Scholastic website for Teachers? Here’s a breakdown of some of the awesome sections on this huge educational website:
- Teacher Resources & Tools including Daily Starters (by grade level), Videos for Teachers, a Freebie Corner, and a paid subscription Printables section with lots of unique perks (for example — store your favorite pages in folders, so you can easily find them in the coming school years!)
- Strategies & Ideas for Teachers including New Teacher Support, Professional Resources, and Featured Bloggers with the “top teaching ideas”
- Student Activities with a handy index by grade and subject area
The Student Activities section has a vast store of online information units from Listen & Read interactive story books like Arctic Foxes, Study Jams — math and science slideshows with quizzes, and even The Stacks — a bit like a learning-based social media section for kids and teens.
There is also a helpful science and social studies Research Starters section for grades 3 to 12, and a Family Playground area for ages 3 to 7. Scholastic has also made their Interactive Whiteboard Activities easy to find by giving them their own section.
Scholastic Teacher Resources is one of those huge, overlapping-section sites that you could easily spend hours exploring, and still keep finding more — enjoy! 😀
