Fran’s Freebies: Swim Team

This set of 60 cards and 2 alphabet posters can be adapted for a variety of activities to extend its usefulness.

1) Use the vertical “start” cards — each showing 3 upper-case or 3 lower-case letters in sequence — to line up two or more “teams”. Add one horizontal card (each showing 2 letters in sequence) at a time to continue the sequence in alphabetical order, until one “team” reaches the end of the alphabet.

2) Put cards in alphabetical order, using just horizontal cards or a mix of horizontal and vertical (2 and 3 letters in sequence).

3) Use the alphabet posters — one in all upper case and one in all lower case — for reference either during play or on a classroom wall.

4) Use the blank Swim Team cards included (horizontal cards) for your own creative use!

This printable alphabet order activity set includes:
— 12 vertical letter cards (3 letters in sequence)
— 48 horizontal letter cards (2 letters in sequence)
— 8 blank horizontal cards for creative use
— 1-page upper-case alphabet poster
— 1-page lower-case alphabet poster
